The giant automaker Honda has announced that its Honda Civic 2013 sedan has received the safety rating of “Five Stars” from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This is not less than a cool blow to its competitors that the 2013 Civic will receive honor from Insurance Institute For Highway Safety (IIHS). If we talk the whole rating in several criteria, the sedan has claimed four stars in roll over rating and five stars in side-impact crash test.
Both Honda 2013 Civic sedan and coupe have previously received the Top Safety Pick ratings from IIHS including the highest score of “Good” in the stringent new small overlap frontal collision and crash test. The Civic 2013 coupe and sedan are the first small vehicles to get the IIHS’s Top Safety Pick. However, IIHS is considering some new tests too.
