Faulty airbag problem is spreading day by day. First, all the giant automakers including Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and recently Subaru Forester suffered from airbag problem and now this problem has taken a step ahead and hit the German automaker BMW. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just released 43,080 BMW 3 Series models recall manufactured from 2002 to 2003 year owing to the faulty airbags.
It seems that BMW is in a kind of big trouble because the recall includes 325Ci and 330Ci convertibles and coupes, 325i, 325xi, 330xi sedans, 325iT and 325xiT Sports Wagons and M3 convertibles and coupes.
The problem is that the front passenger side airbag can be deployed with excessive pressure that would lead to a possible rupture. BMW will be going to notify all the owners. But the replacement parts are not supplied until the July. BMW will have to notify owner again when the parts are available.
